I will keep a special cache of low-tech weapons and train my troops in their use. That way -- even if the heroes manage to neutralize my power generator and/or render the standard-issue energy weapons useless -- my troops will not be overrun by a handful of savages armed with spears and rocks ________________________________________ "Sir?" Weblis says looking at the weapons Luir was pulling out of a compartment in the floor. There were spears and basic bows along with some rocks and slings. Most of the troops used guns. The foot soldiers used swords but their shields would never be broken by the spears he was gathering.
Luir stopped what he was doing to look at Weblis, "yes?"
"What are you doing sir?"
"Getting ready for the special training." He went back to pulling stuff out. When he seemed satisfied with the amount of weapons, he pulled out a black box that had a switch on it. He then closed the compartment.
"Sir. Not that I don't mind training, but what kind of training do we need with these." He said kicking the spear.
"Well..." Luir picked up a spear and also the black box. He flicked the switch and when nothing happened he nodded and put it down picking up a rock instead. "Then attack me."
"I don't think-"before he finished Luir threw the rock at him. Weblis waited for the rock to hit the shield but when his shield didn't go up he dodged to the left. "Sir the shie-"but again before he could finish Luir stabbed at him with his the dull part of his spear.
He used his gun to hit it to the side but it still touched where his heart was. "And that is why we need the training." He put the spear down. "If Aldro turns off our stuff we'll lose. The soldiers rely to heavenly on your shield. You all should always assume the shield is not on. Now" he kicked the spears to Weblis, "bring these to the training ground." He then picked up the black box.
