Despite its proven stress-relieving effect, I will not indulge in maniacal laughter. When so occupied, it's too easy to miss unexpected developments that a more attentive individual could adjust to accordingly.

Aldro glared at Vess' back, even though Vess was turned away from him he knew he was being watched, he couldn't move much since his leg had been stabbed through with his own sword. He still didn't know how Vess had wrestled it out if his hands. He needs to wait till Vess was distracted before he could do anything. Vess pushed a button and Aldro could feel something charging up in the building from a rumble that started to build, "and with that my plan is complete." Aldro had to wait one more moment and then- "and now" Vess turned to him fully.
"Wait," Aldro interrupted him, "you just won aren't you going to celebrate?"
Vess smiled, "oh you mean do an evil laugh?" Vess started to move and Aldro's breath started to quicken, "no if I did that you could easily jump to your sword," at that Vess stopped at said sword and picked it up, "and then where would I be since I would be defenseless." Aldro's eyes went wide, "just like you are now."
Aldro's eyes went wide as he looked around the room, "I would never do that." He said quickly.
Vess chuckled, "come on Aldro how long have we been fighting? I know how you think."
"That...that isn't true."
Vess nodded "it is. I know you always bring your beloved sword where ever you go even on stealth missions." Vess dragged his finger up the blades side as if checking it. "It's why I learned unarmed combat. So I could take it as my own." He gave a sharp smile as he swung it a few times.
Aldro started to shake slightly but couldn't stop himself, "what are you going to do to me now?" Vess started to head towards Aldro and Aldro tried to back up as best as he could with his leg not working.
"Why doing what I said. Making this sword my own." With that Vess walked up to Aldro and stabbed him in the chest. As he laid dieing he heard Vess say "thank you for making it well know this was your sword. Now everyone will know about your death just by looking at me." And a short chuckle just as his world went black.
