I will not have a son. Although his laughably under-planned attempt to usurp power would easily fail, it would provide a fatal distraction at a crucial point in time.

I will not have a daughter. She would be as beautiful as she was evil, but one look at the hero's rugged countenance and she'd betray her own father.

Note: I am putting the two together because they are so similar.

Vess and Rivatha laid on Vess’ bed, they had just won a huge battle only a few few hours ago and both were tired. They had been to the celebration originally to keep up moral but now they just wanted to relax. Rivatha had her own bed but she wanted to rest next to her brother. Vess was rubbing Rivatha’s head lightly as she talked. “Did you see how Luir was fighting today?” She smiled.

Vess chuckled “yes your fiancé was really good in that battle. He really proved today that he deserves his position.”

Rivatha hit him lightly on the chest, “he doesn't need to prove himself." She sighed lightly, "once we have kids he’ll have to much work.” Rivatha knew Luir wasn't the type of person to leave his position. More so when it helped keep his family safe. She just hopped at the time he wouldn't overwork himself. She looked up she saw Vess was frowning. “your worries about him overworking to?”

Vess sighed, “now I don’t want to make you sad or angry, but I don’t think it would be good for you to have a kid.”

Rivatha sat up staring down at Vess, “why not?”

“It just wouldn’t be a good idea I think.”

“Yeah but imagine if I had a cute little boy. He would look like you.”

“And once he becomes a teenager and starts his rebellion phase he'll join up with Aldro to fight against us.”

“He wouldn’t do that.” Rivatha frowned.

“You don’t know about that.”

“Well then what about a daughter?”

“just because she is a women doesn't mean she won't have a rebellion phase.”

Rivatha crossed her arms, “I won’t let them rebel then.”

"you trying to control her is just going to make her rebel more." Vess said with a chuckle. "Plus that doesn't account for other things like falling in love with whatever hero is around" Vess said with a roll of his eyes.

Rivatha looked down playing with her fingers, “I guess.” She muttered.

Vess watched her for a moment before pulling her down into a hug. “fine, you can have kids but only after we’ve taken over everything and no one want to overthrow us or any heros for them to fall for.”

Rivatha chuckled, “you softy.” she whispered cuddling into him. The two were silent after that, falling asleep to the sounds of the celebration still going on. They were woken up the next morning by Kilo who had a small smile on his face.
