Day XX Month 03 Year 1517
     

I've been reading all I can about these beings, these "children of the elements". No one has any solid evidence on anything, no proof that they lived, no proof that they died, no proof that they did anything of importance. 
     

And yet, the whole world over believes that they were once alive, some even believe that the version that they have been told about never even died and that they still lived. But there have been no sightings in decades. I’ve looked over every account and most of them seem to be second-hand or conflicting accounts where no one seemed to get their facts straight.
     

People fight and argue and look for info like I am and most come up with nothing, just like I have. Each town keeps their information to itself. Only providing it to the civilians of their towns.
     

I’ve been making my way through each one, hoping to find a single one that would give information freely. None of the towns that I have visited has yet to but there are still ways that I can get my hands on it. I can always pay someone in town to get it for me.
     

Day XX Month 03 Year 1517
     

I’ve been reading what I can from the townspeople I have bribed. Even so, there still seems to be some information that is missing. Not like it was ripped out from the history books but more like it had never been entered.
     

They seem to be the most secretive about how they sacrifice the child. Something passed down to each head of the town. I know that the townspeople would have seen this ritual before but they are tight-lipped about it as well, not even the ones willing to take bribes for information will tell me.
     

What I have been able to find out is how they choose the sacrifice. They can be sorted into five groups:
     Termouron - They choose any kid that breaks any law, even stealing some food.
     Pitydden - They choose any kid that murders someone.
     Harllpool - They choose kids that were important, making it an honor.
     Galssopia - They choose a kid born in the first month, believing that will give the child more luck.
     Whighridge - They are randomly selected within a set age group.
    Mithfield - They randomly select from the population of only children.
    Blencalgo - They choose just by what kids they don’t want.
    Abeglassco - They limit their people to only two kids per household. Any extra are chosen.
    Willedale - Is the only one who doesn’t choose a child. They claim their child will exit their surrounding forest when the time is right.

     

I could always go to see the sacrifices but I refuse. I am not like them and will not happily stand by as a child is killed in front of me.
     

There isn’t much information about the children that I can use. I was hoping to gain something as a means to get revenge. But the only way to do that was to go through what my brother did. I have no hopes that my plan will succeed so I must look for another avenue to gain power to get my revenge.
