Day XX Month 07 Year 1517

Strange things have been happening, and I don't like what they are indicating.
First Blencalgo followed its name. One moment everything was normal and the next a glob of darkness covered it.

They walked along the walls of the pitch black room, groping around in the dark, hoping one of them would give way. "Let me out! What did I do?" They shouted, even though their throat was getting sore. They had been at this for a while, hoping that their banging would find the door they couldn't see. There was no window and there was no light coming from under a door they knew had to be somewhere.

The townspeople had come to the house looking for Kympilej. They refused to move from the door. They looked among the mob to find their mother standing behind it waiting for the mob to finish, checking her nails. Their mother shouted over the mob that either of her sons could be taken. The mob looked amongst themselves before grabbing them and dragging them through town before the mob pushed them into this room. They fell to the floor and heard a door close. They had closed their eyes when they started to fall, but opened them to find complete darkness.

They walked along the wall, keeping a hand there to count how many times they looped the room, trying once more, "Let me out! I'll fix whatever we did wrong!" They slid down the wall, their voice hurting from shouting so much.

They curled up, crying silently, wishing they could leave.

The dome is easy to enter but almost impossible to exit. A man was tethered to the outside before he entered, his goal was to see who he could find from the now covered town.

No matter what way he walked he could not find the edge of the dome but luckily he was able to be pulled out.

He told of pure darkness. Nothing to see, hear, smell, or feel. As soon as you stepped in it was like the sun was pulled from the sky. The change happened right after he passed the threshold.

As for Abeglassco, it took a few weeks for anyone to realize what had happened to it.

She glared at the glass in front of her. She was tied to two poles which kept her still as she watched the sunrise. She turned her head to see the group of people watching. "Let me out of here!" she shouted at them, pulling her left arm as hard as she could. However, the rope didn't break.

She could feel the light climbing up her leg. They were starting to get warm, and she could smell the burning of flesh. She tried to move her legs away from the searing light, but the light covered the whole area between the poles. "Let me out. Let me out now!"

When they didn't move, she struggled even more.

"I will be back!" She shouted more for herself than them, "and when I return, you'll all be dead. I'll kill all of you. None of you will live." She felt the light rising even higher now hitting her stomach. She kept shouting until the light reflected through the glass had covered her completely.

There was no trace of it, not a speck or crumb. It was like the whole town had just disappeared, as if it had never existed. Which isn't true as I had gone there before during my search for information.

They had turned me away at the time so I had no sympathy for them. No one was around when whatever happened to either town so no one knows the truth, but that didn’t stop the rumors from spreading.

Day XX Month 08 Year 1517

I said I was going to look into other avenues for power, to get my revenge against Termouron.

As I traveled trying to find a new source of power for myself, I still told people that I was looking for information on the Children of the Elements. I figured that if people were informed that I was looking, I would be contacted when some new information was found.

Maybe explorers would find ancient ruins and on the walls, there would be a picture depicting them. Maybe someone would go up into their mother’s attic and find a document telling of some great or horrible deed that one of them had done.

That was what I was expecting, if it hadn’t all been a lie. And yet, there are reports of sightings. Not of all of them, only two.

The Child of Light and Darkness had been seen wandering together. I should have realized with the strange things that happened to both towns that something was going on.

I wouldn’t normally believe that they were children of elements. The few accounts about them I have heard told me that they had magical tattoos located on their bodies. The Child of Darkness was said to have one on his stomach. They had only seen it quickly but claimed it was a butterfly where each wing was a different color.

The people who had seen them seemed to have gotten a better look at The Child of Light, stating that the tattoo was located on her shin. It was also a butterfly. The left wing is lilac and the right wing is black. No one has figured out what it means yet.

The accounts also informed me what happened to her town. The rumors stated that The Child of Light can make people and things disappear with a flash of light. Where they go, no one has found out, but no one seems to have come back either.
