HH huffed. “Well, at least you're thorough,” he picked up a paper on his desk and looked it over. “I just wanted to make sure you were doing your job right, and it seems like you are. Go talk to Xavi then, though he doesn't seem to want to have a conversation.” Sean nodded and headed to the door, not wanting to say another word and make HH madder. He made sure to close the door again as he left.

Xavi's office was a floor above. Sean took the short time in the elevator to calm down. He didn't know what he’d done, but it felt like HH didn't approve of him. He took a longer moment to breathe before knocking on his door, Xavi calling him in right away. Walking into Xavi smiling at him was a much better experience.

“That was a quick meeting,” he said with a chuckle.

Sean shrugged. “Maybe I just proved to him how good I am?” he muttered.

“That makes sense. Please sit.” Xavi waved to the chair in front of his desk. “Before we started I wanted to thank you.”

“Thank me?”

“I know this isn't something you normally do, so I wanted to thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone.”

Sean shook his head. “Bryson is my friend; I want to help him.”

Xavi nodded. “I wanted to offer my support. I don’t want you to have none. I was hoping you would be willing to discuss with me what you have found at the crime scenes so that I may offer extra insight that might be helpful on your case.”

Sean nodded, "I can do that.” He brought out his notebook to look over what he had written. “It was in a normal building. The room was filled with guns that seemed to shoot in random directions. When I got there, the room was full of bullet holes with blood everywhere.”

Xavi nodded slowly. “It sounds like you should talk to Jeremy.”

Sean frowned, “Why?”

“Oh. Yes, those aren't talked about unless someone needs to know,” Xavi muttered. He then smiled slightly at him. “That room sounds like one of Disshot’s arenas. He has been the one to fight her, so if anyone knows for sure it would be him.”

“Oh. Well, we planned to talk once I got to my room. I can ask him then.”

Xavi nodded again. “Good idea. What else was at the scene of the crime?”

Sean looked back at his notebook. “There were the remains of a camera. I was able to get the tape out. I haven’t been able to watch it yet, but I'll probably watch it with Jeremy in a bit."

“I see. When we have our next meeting, you’ll have to tell me what was on it.”

Sean started to nod until he actually understood what Xavi had said. “Our next meeting?”

“Yes, I said I wanted to support you. That means I want us to have a few meetings to keep me up to date on anything new you learn about.”

Sean’s eyes went wide. “Do you really? It might take a bit of time.”

“It’s fine.”

Sean smiled. “Thank you.”

Xavi chuckled. “You don’t need to keep thanking me. I’m the leader of the heroes, well after HH. Of course I should be offered my help to those who need it.” Sean nodded, looking back down at his notebook with a small smile. “Was there anything else there at the scene?”

He looked over his notes, his sight landing on the plug detail he wrote down. He thought about mentioning that, but changed topics. “There was a small amount of blood on the only window sill. I looked in the alleyway and there was a small puddle, but only that one. The distance to the entrance was too long to get his body to a car before any other blood dropped down and none of the wires were disturbed from a helicopter. So I don't know how they left.”

Xavi sighed. “That isn’t good. We need to find him. I want to give Bryson some comfort.” Sean nodded. “Could it possibly be Damian?” Xavi suggested. “He has a means of entering and exiting any room without a trace.” Damian was the only villain not to use a secret identity, having confidence in his powers to get away.

Sean shrugged. “Possibly, though it looked like his body made it out the window before disappearing.”

Xavi frowned. “Then maybe one of the villains that could fly?”

Sean sighed. “But then the question is, what would be any of their motives? Damian works alone, so there's no one to grab a healer for, and he refuses healing from others. As for the flight villains, most could just visit Peyton. He would just heal them.”
