“Aren't you so useful?” he said, giving Jetta a smile, not for the last time wishing he could pet her. He bent down to pick it up, looking it over slowly. With a little fiddling, he was able to open it to see that the tape inside was luckily undamaged. He slipped it into his pocket, planning to look it over when he got home.  He gave the room one more look around before moving back to the door.  “I'm sorry, Peyton,” he said before leaving the room and heading to the street below the window to see if anything was there.

The alleyway wasn't the largest. He could tell just by standing in it that a car wouldn't fit in it. He had to walk for five minutes to find the right window. Sean was thankful it was during the day, or it would be impossible to see anything. He saw a small amount of blood directly under the window, a few drops at most, but even after walking the alleyway a few times, he couldn't see anything else. That confused Sean. He had assumed that the reason there wasn't a body was because people had dragged it out this way, but the blood didn't indicate that. It seemed to indicate that Peyton climbed out of the window and then was gone.

From what Sean knew, there weren't any villains with teleporting powers. The closest was Damian, and from what was known it needed solid ground to work. If any heroes had taken him, they would have informed someone or brought him to another healer.

With nothing else to learn currently from the scene, Sean decided to head back to talk to Jeremy. Leaving looking for witnesses and talking to them for another day. Before he left the scene, he took out the notebook he had bought and wrote down everything from the scene so he wouldn't forget it.

Once he got through the front door, the secretary called him over. He approached with a smile. “Yes?”

“Since this is your first case like this, HH would like you to go to his office to go over what you found.”

Sean sighed but nodded, heading up. This time the door was closed when he saw it. He heard something inside and decided to knock. “I'm busy,” HH called through the closed door.

“I can come back when you aren't then,” Sean said through the door, but only took two steps before the door opened with Xavi standing there.

Xavi Voss was second in command of the heroes. One of the first to join the Hero Association when it was first created, everyone looked up to him. He had a destructive power created by making music. He could use any instrument, but had a few he preferred because they were easier to control. It was found out that even the recordings had a lesser destructive power as well. His main job was looking after the heroes and getting them what they needed, so everyone looked up to him.

“We had just finished,” He said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

“Xavi we can't–”

He took a step forward, ignoring HH, moving over to Sean and clapping him on the shoulder. “I know you're busy, but once you are done with your meeting with HH, could you come talk in my office?” Sean nodded slowly. “Great.” With that, Xavi headed down the hall, leaving Sean to look into the room to see HH glaring down at his desk.

Oswald Castro, called HH by everyone because of an inside joke among the senior heroes, was the leader of the heroes. His power was one of the few that were kept secret for safety reasons. While Xavi took care of the heroes, HH took care of the staff and which missions went to which hero. He ran the organization, and no one went against him.

The two were silent for a moment before HH looked up to glare at Sean. “Well, come in then, since that meeting has ended.” He came into the room, closing the door behind him. “What did you need?” HH said with a huff.

Sean shuffled from one foot to the other. “The secretary said you wanted me to come see you.”

HH stared at him for a long moment. “I was expecting you to come back later in the day. What reason do you have for being back now?”

“There was a camera at the scene. I came back to see what it had on it.”

HH sat a little straighter. “And what was on it?”

“I haven't looked yet. I came here right after coming back.”
